Peer consultation (Associate Handbook)
From time to time, the counselling team (all associates and Catherine) will meet for Peer Consultation.
Purpose
Peer Consultation is a supportive, educational clinical process where:
- Associates briefly review active clients/cases at a high level (no unnecessary detail).
- The group brainstorms ideas, perspectives, and clinical options.
- Feedback is offered to support the associate who “owns” the client.
This is meant as a supportive and educational exercise, and can also generate helpful clinical information for the treating associate.
